Cristina Nehring’s first book, A Vindication of Love: Reclaiming Romance for the 21st Century has inspired both fury and admiration since its publication in 2009. Drawing on deep literary and historical expertise, Cristina argues for a bolder, braver, wilder form of modern love.

A “compassionate contrarian” who writes for the New York Times, Atlantic Monthly, Harper’s and London Review of Books, Cristina has won many essay awards and holds a Ph.D. in literature from UCLA.
