Tom Harpur – A New Understanding of Christianity

Spiritual leader Tom Harpur asks: “Can we establish that there ever was a historical Jesus of Nazareth?” He thinks the evidence is “extraordinarily thin, so thin as to be virtually not there at all. His view is that religion is mythology made literal, “as if it were history instead of something about the inner meaning” of what it is to be human.
