Rick Smolan On a Day In The Life Project

2005, Art & Design, Cultural Studies
Presented By: Rick Smolan

Photographer Rick Smolan discusses his A Day In The Life Project. To start off his career, Rick crafted his way into a Life magazine project, convincing Life’s editor to make his project of 99 photographers into a project of 100. With humour Rick talks about some of his shooting mistakes and the irony of the media industry. Rick is bothered by the corporate portrayal of life in America and has taken on the task of sharing real experience, devoid of product placement.
