Lhasa de Sela – Her Unique Musical Legacy

Lhasa de Sela’s debut album La Lloronna confused many critics when it was released in 1997. They found it difficult to categorize this girl from Quebec, born of a Mexican father and an American mother in the United States, who sang in Spanish to a music they could not put a name too. Sadly, Lhasa lost her battle with cancer in 2010, but the impression she left on our audience at ideacity06 will not soon be forgotten.
