Cody Wilson, a student of law, political philosophy, and social theory sits down with Moses Znaimer to discuss his Defense Distributed project, in which he famously created and successfully fired the world’s first 3D printed handgun. In this challenging and controversial talk, Wilson believes that the traditional institutions of the nation state are dissolving and “what’s filling the vacuum is something much scarier…a trans-political permanent state of emergency, the secret laws, the technological coup against democratic control. We know we’re being watched and organized.” His goal is the empowerment of the individual.
