Adam Bly – Better Storytelling in Science

2005, Science & Technology
Presented By: Adam Bly

What is the role of magazines and journalism in fostering a more informed science culture? Science is regularly used to further political agendas, Adam Bly says. He thinks that we should give science the same weight as we do other topics in journalism to deal with pervasive scientific ignorance and to stimulate the holistic intersection of scientific study with humanities. It is through journalism, he says, that scientific awareness can be cultivated in popular culture and the misuse and abuse of science interrupted and shut down.
