Ted Stout

Ted Stout

Ted Stout fixes broken businesses, starts new businesses, enlivens and expands old businesses, and extends growing businesses globally. He deploys and commercializes technologies, with focus on doing more with less, hooking things up, and constructing “systems of systems.” Stout makes processes and systems that weren’t intended to talk to each other converse fluently. He likes the make a profit and a difference, is not politically correct, and has learned more from failures than successes – but believes that successes are more fun.

Friends and clients have called him a Professional Generalist, Economic Therapist, Improvisational Strategist, and most recently, Gideon Gartner has given him the new moniker of “Master Information Intermediator,” or MI-2.

Stout’s more recent work includes assessing future broadband-dependent markets for major industries and their commercial markets, while building the first all science and technology digital and analog TV channel for the People’s Republic of China.

He acts as advisor to corporations, industry associations, public organizations, governments, and regional economic development partnerships, while writing extensively about the world, markets, technology and people.
