Steven Rechtschaffner is an acclaimed athlete, producer and creative director. His first call to fame was as a member of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team from 1977-1981. He moved on to become the Program Director of the team until 1983. He then took on the role of VP of Marketing and Creative for Swatch Watch where he had the opportunity to write and direct lots of TV and print commercials, work with some of the greatest designers and artists of that generation, and bring hip hop and extreme sports to the masses, all while driving his Swiss bosses nuts.

Steve’s next gig was as a producer for the LA-based Propaganda Films, working with brilliant directors like David Fincher, Dom Senna, Michael Bay and Spike Jonze. Around this time, he and his wife Renee decided that it was time to move back to Vancouver, so Steve moved into his next career, that of the VP, Executive Producer and Creative Director of Electronic Arts, one of the world’s top videogame makers. During this career he pioneered many sports and action games and created a new brand can EA Sports BIG via launching a Playstation 2 title called SSX.

A few years back, Steve moved into the role of Chief Creative Officer for the Canadian EA Studio, and then the Creative Director role for the Worldwide Studio Group. He stepped down from the company earlier this year and will be launching a new interactive entertainment company called Speedboat I.E. this fall.
