Stephanie Cadman

More Than a Triple Threat

Stephanie Cadman
MORE THAN A TRIPLE THREAT

Most people are familiar with the term ‘triple threat’, but Ottawa-born and raised entertainer Stephanie Cadman has set the bar far higher than that. Born into a musical family, she was drawn to the fiddle and developed a passion for dance and theatre starting at age 4.  Now as an accomplished artist, she has shared the stage with Oscar Peterson, Sharon Shannon, Lunasa, and the Chieftains.

BIOGRAPHY

Since launching her career as a lead in the hit musical “Swingstep”, she’s honed her skills as an actor, dancer, singer and an accomplished fiddler. Known as much for her gifts as a choreographer as she is for her infectiously joyful musical style, she’s also taken the stage with the Mirvish Productions Celtic review ‘Needfire’, and the Broadway National Tour of ’42nd Street’.

Not one to turn down the chance to master a new facet of her craft, Cadman is proficient in tap, Celtic stepdancing, ballet and jazz, and her captivating style and consistency have earned her solo appearance with symphonies across North America, and accolades at international competitions.

In 2006 Stephanie established the touring production “Celtic Blaze” which fuses her virtuosi fiddling and stepdancing into a theatrical setting backed by a five piece band. The show headlines at venues across North America and is characterized by a rich tapestry of original and modern Celtic traditions with emphasis on visual as well as musical appeal. Celtic Blaze now tours as a trio.
