Simon Garfield



Simon Garfield is the author of 16 acclaimed books of non-fiction including Mauve, Our Hidden Lives and To The Letter. His study of Aids in Britain, The End of Innocence, won the Somerset Maugham prize, while Just My Type and On The Map were New York Times bestsellers. He was a staff feature writer on the London Independent and Observer, and was formerly editor of Time Out London. He has just finished editing the 60-year diary of Jean Lucey Pratt, an unknown but remarkable writer, to be published in the UK in September. He is married with two children, and lives in London and St Ives, Cornwall.
