Sarah Slean

Sarah Slean is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician with over ten albums to her credit. Her music reveals the equal influences of old Hollywood musicals and classical orchestral music, and in her 2011 double album Land and Sea she also demonstrates her talent as a string arranger, working with some of the country’s leading orchestras and solo performers. In 2011 she released the album Love Songs for Japan, as a benefit for the survivors of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

Sarah Slean has been nominated for three Junos and two Geminis, and her music has been featured in many popular American television shows. Although she is best known as a recording artist, she has also published two volumes of poetry, exhibited her paintings and appeared as an actress in several short films.
