Ruth Shaw



Ruth Shaw is a Toronto based author, magazine contributor, workshop facilitator and certified yoga Instructor with a passion for helping busy people stay balanced, healthy, flexible and strong. She was inspired to write and publish her recently released book Kitchen Yoga – “off the mat yoga for people who have no time” – for yogis and non-yogis who don’t always have time for a regular fitness program.

Her simple time-saving approach expands traditional on-the-mat yoga to one where, in the 2-5 minutes it takes to brew coffee, toast bread or simmer soup, one can fit in a pose or two.

A seasoned yogi, Ruth’s yoga classes encompass a blend of classical Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga, lyengar, Kundalini and Yin Yoga, bringing a combination of body-mind awareness, core strength, muscle tone, improved posture and inner confidence.
