Robyn Allan

Whether it is dancing or restructuring companies, Robyn Allan believes in pursuing her passions to the fullest. She was heralded as “the Wonder Woman of Auto Insurance” when, as president and CEO of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, she successfully restructured the $3.4 billion company and transformed a $200 million loss into a $150 million surplus in less than a year.

In 1992, The Financial Post named her as one of the Top 200 CEOs in Canada. Now, as president of CYF Consulting Ltd., a broadly based strategic management consulting company, she helps businesses and their employees to work smart and live better. In 1998, Allan served as the economic and financial advisor to the British Columbia Commission of Inquiry into the Quality of Condominium Construction, an inquiry that dealt with consumer problems from B.C.’s leaky condo crisis.

Her other love is dance and theatre, and she has produced, choreographed and performed throughout Canada and the US. She is currently the artistic director of Vancouver Dance Theatre.
