There are 7.4 billion unique people in the world – meaning 7.4 billion unique heads. So why aren’t glasses, goggles and helmets sized to fit each individual? Can it even be done? Rain Wang thinks so… and is doing it.

A former architect, concert pianist and Miss Universe finalist, Rain Wang earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematic and physics from the University of Toronto. She co-founded Skelmet, a Boston-based company making Rain bespoke head-worn products using state of the art 3D scanning and 3D printing.

Skelmet is revolutionizing the wearables industry with 3D fit technology, combining state of the art 3D scanning with 3D printing to automatically measure, design, and produce bespoke head-worn products. Skelmet’s technology crosses multiple disciplines including parametric design, mechanical engineering, material science and machine learning to set a new standard for the wearables industry.
