Egyptian-born, Toronto-raised Raffi Cavoukian, best known by just his first name, is an internationally acclaimed family entertainer, songwriter, author, and ecology and children’s advocate.

Over the past 25 years, Raffi has rendered 13 albums, 3 concert videos, and many children’s books, with sales in excess of $15 million. His songs, including the most popular “Baby Beluga”, “Wheels on the Bus”, and “Down by the Bay”, are hits among children, parents and educators alike.

Raffi has written and performed songs for Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama, and hosts of children worldwide. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the United Nation’s Earth Achievement Award, The Order of Canada, and the Global 500.

In 2000, Cavoukian founded the Troubadour Institute, acting as a catalyst to move towards a child-honoring society.

His autobiography, The Life of a Children’s Troubadour, tells the story of his unique life and career, including his efforts to bring respect for both children and the natural world.
