Nicholas Campbell is a Canadian actor best-known for his starring role in the television series Da Vinci’s Inquest, which ran for 7 seasons. He has won 3 Gemini Awards.

Campbell was born in Toronto and raised in Montreal. He attended Queen’s University with the intention of going into law, but after taking a first-year drama course decided to devote himself to becoming an actor. Campbell then spent 5 years in England, studying at the London Drama School and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

His film debut came in 1976, in the film The Omen, which was followed by a role in the Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me. Campbell is also known for his roles in Prozac Nation and Naked Lunch, and has worked extensively with director David Cronenberg.

Campbell is also a filmmaker. He wrote and directed the documentary Stepping Razor: Red X, about the murder of reggae singer Peter Tosh, and directed the Canadian drama Boozecan.
