John Peterson Myers

John Peterson Myers is founder, CEO and Chief Scientist of Environmental Health Sciences. He is actively involved in primary research on the impacts of endocrine disruption on human health.

In 1996, Myers co-wrote Our Stolen Future, a book that explores the scientific basis of concern for how contamination threatens fetal development, in particular males. He has since published OurStolenFuture.org, which synthesizes hundreds of scientific articles about endocrine disruption to make them accessible to the media and the general public.

Myers is on the boards of the John Heinz Center for Science, Economics and the Environment, the Environmental Grantmakers Association, the Jenifer Altman Foundation, the Earth Day Network and the Publication Education Center. He had previously served as Director of the W. Alton Jones Foundation, Board Chair of the National Environmental Trust and Board President of the Consultative Group on Biological Diversity.

Myers is also an accomplished photographer.
