John Fraser

John Fraser is a writer and an educator, a National Post columnist and master of Massey College at the University of Toronto (U of T).

He writes the media column for The National Post, which appears each Wednesday in the Arts and Life Section, and has been the master of Massey College at U of T since 1995.

Fraser has enjoyed a varied and colourful career at several Canadian newspapers, including The Globe and Mail, where he held a number of positions ranging from dance critic to Peking correspondent, Ottawa bureau chief, national columnist, national editor and London correspondent.

From newspapers he moved to other print media, and spent seven years as the editor of Saturday Nightmagazine. Fraser is the recipient of three National Newspaper Awards and seven National Magazine Awards and is the author of six books, most recently Eminent Canadians: Candid Tales From Then and Now.
