Jay Ingram

An acclaimed author and television personality, Jay Ingram is best known as the host of Discovery Channel’s hugely popular “Daily Planet.”

He holds four Honourary Doctorates and has won numerous awards, including an ACTRA award for Best Host. He is the author of nine books, including the Velocity of Honey and Theatre of the Mind, and has been honoured with the Canadian Science Writers’ Association Book Award on three occasions for his works: The Burning House, A Kid’s Guide to the Brain and The Barmaid’s Brain.

He has immeasurable experience as a writer and host in the field of science. Jay has also been a columnist for the Toronto Star since 1997 and was contributing editor of the popular youth magazine Owl, from 1987-1992.
