Jasper Wood has capture the hearts of music lovers with his “ability to recreate lyric poetry” using only a bow and a violin.

Born in Canada in 1974, he gave his first public performance at the age of five. Since then, he has received rave reviews for his performances throughout North America, and has won numerous prizes and awards in the United States, Canada and Italy, including the Sylva Gelber Award from the Canada Council for the Arts.

He studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of David and Linda Cerone, and made his orchestral debut at the age of 13 with Symphony Nova Scotia under the baton of George Tintner. He has played across North America as a soloist and chamber musician, performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic and the Bay-Atlantic Symphony in New Jersey, and toured with the Toronto Philharmonic.
