Elliot Wahle

Elliot Wahle

Elliot Wahle is perhaps the only person who can boast a career that ranges from managing professional baseball players in Toronto to overseeing the behemoth that is Toys “R” Us Times Square, the international flagship of the retail chain. At 110,000 square feet, the $35 million Toys “R” Us , situated between 44th and 45th streets in Manhattan, is the world’s largest toy store and contains – among other items  – a 60- foot-tall indoor Ferris wheel and a 20-foot high, 34- foot long animatronic T-Rex dinosaur.

After re-joining Toys “R” Us in January 2001, Wahle was instrumental in developing the store design, vendor partnerships, operations, and in-store policies to get the store up and running in November 2001.

Previously, Wahle was President and Chief Executive Officer of Dylex Limited, Canada’s largest specialty apparel retailer, and President and General Manager of Toys “R” Us Canada. He was Director of Player Personnel for the Toronto Blue Jays and began his career as Assistant Director, Minor League Operations, of the New York Yankees.
