Dan Falk

Dan Falk is an award-winning science writer, broadcaster, and author. He’s written about science, especially astronomy and physics, for dozens of newspapers and magazines including The Globe and MailThe National PostSky NewsSky & TelescopeNature, and New Scientist.

He’s also been a frequent contributor to the CBC Radio programs Ideas and Quirks and Quarks. His first book, Universe on a T-Shirt: The Quest for the Theory of Everything, has won the Science in Society Journalism Award from the Canadian Science Writers’ Association and also the John and Margaret Savage First Book Award, part of the Atlantic Book Awards.

He is also the recipient of the American Institute of Physics’ 1999 Science Writing Award in Physics and Astronomy for his radio documentary, From Empedocles to Einstein. Along with physics and astronomy, Dan is also interested in archaeology, anthropology, evolution, the history of science, science and religion, the brain, consciousness, and science literacy.
