Christina Hoff Sommers

Christina Sommers

Since the publication of her first book on the feminist movement, Christina Hoff Sommers has become both an authority in her field, and a lightning rod for controversy. Who Stole Feminism (1995) introduced the world to her views on “equity feminism” and set the stage for ongoing debates and discussions surrounding women’s rights, scholarship, and the role of gender studies departments in the ongoing quest for equality.

Hailed by many as a welcome advocate for moderation, Sommers’ writings criticize what she sees as the radical teachings of modern feminism, and sheds light on the disservice that it does to boys in its attempts to advance the interests of young girls. A former professor of psychology, Sommers is now a Resident Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute.
