Towards A Sustainable Future
A sustainable future is about much more than caring for the environment, says activist and author Severn Cullis-Suzuki. The executive director of the David Suzuki Foundation – and, yes, she’s the daughter of David Suzuki, so activism is in her blood – was just 24 when she took to the ideacity stage to discuss how we are all acutely dependent on our surroundings for survival, and why we all have to be concerned with bio AND cultural diversity. Her key messaging then, as it is still: we must act with the future in mind and take individual responsibility to affect positive change.
