Dave Bidini – A Comical Look At Violence In Hockey

2001, Entertainment, Sports & Adventure
Presented By: Dave Bidini

Canadian musician, Dave Bidini, wants to talk a little bit about violence in hockey. He reads an excerpt from his book in which he talks about a little fight he had with a member of a Canadian rock group. Watch, as he describes just how much people change on the ice, including himself, detailing how hockey is a game that shows people at their best as well as their worst, but usually the latter. He takes us through a funny video of the national anthem at the 1976 Canada Cup, talking about Canadian identity. He finishes with another, quite fascinating, excerpt from his book describing how he and his friends hatched an idea to infiltrate the NHL and go undercover and pretend to be reporters.
