Evelyn Hart and Veronica Tennant – Ballet

2005, Art & Design, Cultural Studies
Presented By: Evelyn Hart

Ballerinas Evelyn Hart and Veronica Tennant sit down with our own Moses Znaimer to discuss the beauty and hardship of dancing. Through ballet one can draw a thread of connection with others, they say, and it is this thread that brings passion and meaning to their work. The dancers talk about the values needed to pursue a career in ballet, a sense of integrity and courage that can be practiced throughout all walks of life. But with this commitment comes painful consequences, excruciating pain and long-term injuries. Dancing, they tell us, requires giving up some of what one owns in order to weave a web of spiritual connectedness.
