Susan Pinker – The Gender Gap

2008, Sex & Gender
Presented By: Susan Pinker

Developmental psychologist Susan Pinker has noticed a trend in her office waiting room; many of her young patients are boys, not girls.  In this talk, Pinker discusses what she calls a sexual paradox, and the statistics that suggest its a good time to be female.  Is it true that males are the stronger sex?  After mining data from prison records, morbidity, literacy and more, Pinker thinks perhaps the roles are reversing.
