Mara Hvistendahl – Missing Girls

When Mara Hvistendahl moved to China, she could see the realities of gender demographics amongst the children – there were far more boys than girls.  In this talk, she examines the underlying reasons parents all over the world choose boys before girls, and the dangerous consequences when many people make the same choice.
