Derek Hatfield – Sailing Alone

2005, Environment
Presented By: Derek Hatfield

Canadian sailor Derek Hatfield is one of 126 who have sailed around the world. Derek and his team built their own boat over a period of five years in order to send him on a competition that took seven and half months. In that time he covered a distance of more than 56,300 kilometers and encountered waves 40 feet high. Why does he do it, you ask? Watch his talk and find out!
