Braden Limb – Electric Highways

Science & Technology, 2016
Presented By: Braden Limb

The transition from traditional vehicle to electric vehicle is coming, in fact it has already begun with the invention of cars such as the Tesla, the Prius and of course the Smart Car. While these vehicles are better for the environment and help reduce global emissions they also come with limitations such as driving distance and cost. This is where Braden Limb a Ph.D. candidate and research associate in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at Utah State University comes in. Braden believes that in order to help progress our society into using electric cars we need to address these concerns and implement in motion charging for all electric vehicles. Watch as he describes some of the various methods surrounding charging electric cars and how this method is not only superior for charging but also helps increase distance and bring down cost.
