Jacob Sullum



Jacob Sullum is a senior editor at Reason magazine and Reason.com, a monthly magazine which offers an alternative to right-wing and left-wing opinion magazines by making a principled case for liberty and individual choice in all areas of human activity. He is also the author of Saying Yes: In Defense of Drug Use, which has been called “A highly effective debunking” and “a healthy dose of sober talk in a debate dominated by yelping dopes.”

Publishers Weekly says that Sullum’s “not afraid to take on entrenched public policies that he sees as fundamentally wrongheaded”. Throughout his journalistic career, Jacob has received the Keystone Press Award for investigative reporting, the Thomas S. Szasz Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Cause of Civil Liberties, and the Drug Policy Alliance’s Edward M. Brecher Award for Achievement in the Field of Journalism.

He is a frequent guest on television and radio networks, including Fox News ChannelCNN and NPR.
