Greg Hill

Greg Hill is a modern-day adventurer who spends his life in the mountains pushing boundaries. He has pioneered expeditions through mountain ranges, skied wild first descents and set a world record – 50 000 ft climbed and skied within 24 hours.

Hill was selected as one of the top adventurers for 2005 in National Geographic Adventure Magazine for his first million feet climbed. Hoping to draw people into the mountains, he began to film his expeditions. “The Unbearable Lightness of Skiing” was shown at several film festivals, including the Banff Film Festival World Tour, and was aired on National Geographic Television and The Ski Channel.

Hill’s latest adventure redefined human potential. He climbed and skied 2 million vertical feet in 2010, a superhuman feat that saw him summit 71 mountains over 266 days at an average of 7550ft up – similar to climbing the CN Tower three times a day, every day for one year in hazardous mountain terrain.
