Dan Murphy



Dan Murphy is a cartoonist and writer whose work has appeared in Maclean’s, Condé Nast Traveller, Equity, Vancouver magazine, Omni, Penthouse, The Western Voice, and Surfer. For 29 years he produced political cartoons, editorials, graphics, page-design, web-animations, and the Sunday illustrated column Mr. Pundit for Vancouver’s Province newspaper. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Dan grew up in Southern California and made his way to Canada when Nixon was still president. He writes and web-edits for Cartoonists Rights Network International, a non-profit founded by Robert “Bro” Russell, which has been advocating for persecuted cartoonists and their free-speech rights since 1992. Dan lives in Ladner, B.C.
