Andrew Clark

Andrew Clark is an award-winning writer and humourist and the director of the Humber College Comedy Program in Toronto.

Since 2009 he has written the “Road Sage” humour column in the Globe and Mail. He drives a Dodge Grand Caravan (a car which is neither Grand nor a Caravan).
Clark has written two books. His last, A Keen Soldier: The Execution of Second World War Private Harold Pringle was nominated for three national literary awards including the Governor General’s Award for Literary Non-fiction. His first book, the critically acclaimed Stand and Deliver: Inside Canadian Comedy, was a history of the Canadian comedy industry.

An experienced journalist, he has been managing editor of The Walrus Magazine and a senior writer at Maclean’s Magazine. He won a Gold Medal at the National Magazine Awards and is a regular contributor to numerous publications. He has recently written for The New York Times Magazine and the Globe and Mail Style advisor section.
