Diane Francis
Diane Francis is known across Canada for her hard-hitting newspaper columns, radio commentaries and best-selling books.
The editor-at-large for The Financial Post (of The National Post) is also a broadcaster and the author of seven books, including Bre-X: The Inside Story, where she exposed Canada’s greatest stock swindle. Chatelaine magazine named her Woman of the Year in 1992. Her other books include Fighting for Canada, which details the aftermath of the 1995 Quebec referendum, and Underground Nation: The Secret Economy and Future of Canada, which takes a thought-provoking look at the state of our country.
In addition to being a sought-after speaker, she has been honoured with awards from associations, publications and universities across the country. Francis also serves on the advisory boards of York University East/West Enterprises and CANFAR (Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research), and is on the board of directors for the Canada/Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, CARE Canada, and the George Brown College Foundation Board.
